Overview
Kin is a couple and baby care app for parents. We collect only what we need to provide your family space, keep your data synced between invited partners, and support your account.
Information we collect
We may collect account details such as your email address or Apple/Google sign-in identifier, family profile details, partner names, baby profile details, baby activity logs, tiny pictures or drawings shared in the app, selected profile photos, subscription status, support messages, device information, and push notification tokens.
How we use information
We use this information to create and maintain your account, sync your family space, show baby care activity, enable partner invites, deliver notifications, process subscriptions, respond to support requests, improve app reliability, and protect against misuse.
Family sharing
A family space is shared by up to two adult partners. Baby logs, shared drawings, partner names, and family setup details may be visible to both partners in that space. Private wellbeing or mood data is treated as sensitive and is not designed to be shared with a partner unless the app clearly asks for that action.
Service providers
Kin may use trusted providers to run the app, including Firebase for authentication, database, storage, and cloud functions; RevenueCat for subscription management; Apple and Google for sign-in or store services; Expo services for app delivery and notifications; and email providers for support or transactional messages.
Photos and drawings
If you add a profile photo, baby photo, or shared drawing, it may be stored so your invited partner can see it inside your family space. We do not use these images for advertising.
Subscriptions
Subscription purchases are processed by Apple or Google and managed through RevenueCat. Kin receives subscription status, entitlement, renewal, and expiration information, but not your full payment card details.
Security and retention
We use access controls and security rules intended to limit family data to authenticated members of that family space. We keep data for as long as needed to provide Kin unless you delete your account and data, or unless a longer retention period is required by law.
Account deletion
You can request deletion of your account and data from the app or by contacting us. Some subscription records may remain with Apple, Google, or RevenueCat as required for billing, fraud prevention, or legal compliance.
Children's privacy
Kin is for parents and adult partners, not for children to use directly. Baby profile details are entered by parents to support family care.
